Our Beginning

How It All Started

Round table pizza was born in 1999 out of a simple but powerful idea: that great food brings people together. Our founder, Marco Deluca, believed that a meal shared around a table — a round table where everyone is equal — could be the foundation of real community.

Starting from a single 800-square-foot kitchen in the heart of Sacramento, Marco hand-crafted each pizza with imported Italian flour, fresh locally-sourced ingredients, and a recipe refined over generations in his family's Neapolitan kitchen.

1999

The First Slice

Marco Deluca opens Round Table Pizza on Natomas Blvd, Sacramento with a 12-item menu, a wood-fired oven, and a dream to feed the community.

2004

Best Pizza in Sacramento

Sacramento Magazine names Round Table Pizza "Best Pizza in Sacramento" — the first of nine consecutive years receiving the prestigious local award.

2009

Kitchen Expansion

Growing demand leads to a full kitchen renovation, tripling capacity and introducing our famous round table catering service for local events.

2014

Online Ordering Launched

We bring the round table to your doorstep — launching our online ordering platform and delivery service across greater Sacramento.

2019

20th Anniversary

Celebrating two decades of round table pizza with a fully renovated dining room, new menu additions, and a community block party for 2,000 guests.
